Information about Rosemary
Hi! Are you seeking support for your child`s learning?
I currently have some availability to support children to secure their learning from their current school year and in preparation for their new school year. I also offer preparation for specific end of key stage tests or entrance examinations at 4+, 7+ and 11+.
I am primarily asked to tutor in Maths, English and Phonics but also support all curriculum areas across the primary age range, including verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
During my career I have taught in Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in maintained and independent schools as both a class teacher and key stage leader.
As a qualified and experienced teacher and tutor I have a wealth of curriculum knowledge and practical experience which allows me to tailor my approach by planning engaging activities specifically for each individual pupil`s needs.
I am friendly and approachable and quick to build a rapport and good working relationship with each pupil. Initial and ongoing assessment allows me to meet the specific needs and interests of your child so that they can build knowledge, grow in confidence, experience success and make the best progress they possibly can.
I believe communication with you, the parents, and providing honest feedback at each lesson is vital to working together in partnership to benefit your child.
I have absolutely loved every one of my years in teaching and believe that enthusiasm and dedication is evident to the parents of my pupils.
Availability: I am available to come to your home to deliver face to face tuition during the day as well as late afternoon and early evening during term time and school holiday periods, subject to availability.
I work with some families in regular weekly slots and with others over shorter periods of time, such as during the school holidays only or to focus on a specific area of learning.
Please do get in touch so that we can discuss your requirements.

We came across Rosemarys profile at just the right moment. As we approached reception, we wanted our son to feel a bit more confident with phonics and writing. We felt he wasnt getting sufficient focus on this at nursery and we could only encourage him to do so much at home. We booked Rosemary to come one hour a week over the summer and it was the best thing we did. Rosemary had a wonderful way of engaging him, getting down to his level and showing a keen interest in dinosaurs and cars to earn his trust. She had fun ways to help him learn through play and weve seen a real change in his ability and willingness to focus and learn. Not only this, getting used to her teacher style has helped him with the transition to school. Thank you, Rosemary.
