Information about Katherine
I am currently completing my PhD at King`s College London in the Department of Digital Humanities. I`m studying the history of the British Ministry of Information during the Second World War and modern public reception of its propaganda materials. Before my PhD, I completed a Masters degree in Early Modern History at King`s College London (merit) and a Bachelor`s Degree in History at the University of Warwick (2.1). I lecture and run seminars for undergraduate students at King`s College London on subjects relating to digital humanities and research methods.
I have a great deal of academic experience in the area of history, as well as in the broader humanities, digital humanities, social science and research methods. I am a real enthusiast for the subject of history and I would really appreciate teaching my subject to interested learners. I also have a lot of experience in academic writing and can offer practical guidance to students on how to write better essays.
I went to Notting Hill and Ealing High School, an independent girls school in west London. I have excellent experience of improving exam technique and coursework for GCSE and A-Level. Over the years, I have learnt great tips and tricks to doing well in the arts and humanities.

Experience: I have remotely tutored two students in history, helping them to prepare for their A Levels by marking essays. I work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Digital Humanities at King`s College London, where I run seminars for undergraduate students and occasionally give lectures. I teach digital methods, including media and communications and research methods.
I have a full understanding of the UK examination system and the tricks to doing well. I have experience of looking after children from age 5. I write a public history blog so am experienced in drumming up interest in my subject without being too academically dry.

I would like to recommend Katherine as a very good online tutor. Katherine helped me so much. She marked my A level cold war history essays with great depth. I am on a gap year so i didn`t have a teacher to mark anything for me. Brilliant! Thank you again!
