Information about Mallaika
Hi! I`m in my third year of Medical school and having been in your place not too long ago, I remember just how intimidating the GCSEs and A levels can seem at first. However, I`m here to help get you through them and achieve the goals you set for yourself whilst hopefully reminding you just how fun and exciting the sciences can be! I`m also happy to answer questions about applying to universities and tell you any tips and tricks I have for making your application a success. My strategies for tackling the BMAT and UKCAT exams will help break down the questions and make them seem less intimidating and help you cope with the time pressure.
I`m currently studying MbChb Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and I have a strong academic background, particularly within STEM subjects which enables me to teach my students to a high quality.
My classroom always has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and I encourage my students to ask questions and challenge their understanding. I hope you`ll be joining it soon!
Availability: I`m available weekends and evenings after 6:15 pm. However, my schedule is flexible and I`d be happy to discuss an arrangement that would suit you. I`m based in Northwood but also tutor online.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I`ve tutored several students over the years and it was wonderful to watch them grow more bold and confident in their subjects. I`ve been tutoring for 4 years, and in the last year alone have taught more than 190 lessons. I teach all three sciences at GCSEs and a variety of exam boards, including OCR, WJEC, AQA, CIE and Edexcel. At A levels I teach various Chemistry and Biology exam boards, as well as Maths core and mechanics. I have experience tutoring at schools as well which allowed me to develop a more professional tutoring style and gave me experience working with students of various abilities.
