I am a bright and dedicated Teacher of English, currently teaching at the Outstanding school Chelsea Academy.

I have a 2:1 degree in English and Politics from Queens University Belfast. Prior to my teacher training, I taught English in Hong Kong for two years.

Availability: Weeknights and weekends - shall be more flexible in the summer months.

English Teacher at St Marylebone School (September 2017 - present)

· I teach Year 7, 9 and 10 classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 respectively. I am responsible fo planning well-structured lessons that aim to promote a love of learning and stretch and challenge students of all abilities.
· I make use of formative and summative assessment to gage students progress, using rele-vant data to monitor progress and give students constructive feedback
· Contribute to the wider life of the school, running a tag rugby club and assisting with running club, as well as assisting on school trips.

Learning Support Assistant at St Marylebone School (September 2016 - July 2017)

· Support SEN students across years 7-13 in a variety of lessons
· Tutor Sixth Form students one-on-one in A-Level English and Politics
· I am responsible for a Year 7 form class, who I see every day for both morning and af-ternoon registration, as well as form time activities

Full-time Eureka NET at Canossa School, Hong Kong (September 2015– July 2016)

· Taught classes across P1-3 and P6 with approximately 16 hours of lessons a week
· Organised special English days where the students can collect stamps by participating and eventually win prizes. I was required to introduce the activities to the whole school in morning assembly.
· I planned resources and lessons that tie into the modules students are studying.

Part-time Eureka English Instructor at SAGE World, Hong Kong (October 2015-June 2016)

· I tutored a small group of P6 students preparing for secondary school English, focusing on reading and writing skills, setting assessments and marking and giving them feedback.







Part-time Public Speaking Coach at King’s College, Hong Kong (October 2015- June 2016)

· I coached workshops attended by eight S1-2 students for public speaking, following les-son plans devised by myself. We covered topics such as speech structure, persuasive techniques and audience connection. The aim of the workshops was to prepare them for competitions at the secondary level.

Full-time Chatteris NET at Queen Elizabeth School, Hong Kong (September 2014 – May 2015)

· Taught every class in S1 and S2 for 45 minute lessons. The structure of the lessons were driven towards learning new vocabulary and ideas, building towards a student-led task that allowed the entire class to participate in speaking English.
· Held informal activities in the English room during break-time and lunch, as well as or-ganizing English-speaking events based around key points of the calendar year, such as Halloween and Christmas.
