I am a qualified teacher. I have extensive experience with both children and teens in both school and out-of-school settings.

I have a degree in biology and psychology. I also took courses in maths, chemistry, physics, sociology and gender studies.

I am qualified to teach biology and psychology to a-level and the other sciences and maths to gcse.

I am very patient and encouraging and believe in all students`possibility to succeed. I enjoy finding the method of learning that works for each student.

I focus both on students having a deep and lasting understanding of concepts and confidence in answering exam questions.

When teaching I use stories, real-life examples and analogies as much as possible to make concepts relevant and understandable. I find out students prior knowledge. I explain why we would want to learn about something to motivate students.

For maths, I know many methods of solving questions and making maths visual and will encourage students to find the method that works best for them.

Availability: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings

Experience: I have been supply teaching for four years. I have taught years 7 through 13. I have taught gsce science, maths and a-level psychology. I have done mainly AQA but other exam boards as well.
I have tutored students in all of the above as well.

I have also done science after-school clubs and birthday parties with primary school children for Mad Science. I have done gardening workshops with children for a non-profit.

I have tutored adults in basic maths and English.
