Information about Nicole
Hello,
I`m currently studying my degree in Business and Management (Bsc) at the University of York, whilst I have a part time job at The Cat Gallery in York.
At A-level I achieved A*AA and an A at AS level. I originally had applied to study at King`s College London, and although I secured my place there on results day I decided I felt I would be happier in York.
I believe that to properly learn anything, the learning environment must be a comfortable, understanding and engaging space to work within, something I am to provide in each and every tutoring session. Having received tutoring myself (for GCSE French), I am understanding that whilst someone can be very academically advanced within one subject, another subject can provide unexpected challenges, and tutoring can seem a dramatic solution solving these challenges. However each session would pin point a specific area or topic in which help was needed, and therefore tackle the workload steadily and thoroughly, helping build a foundation of knowledge which can be built upon.
I can do sessions subjective to what the areas needing help are, i.e. topics, methods, exam question interpretation

Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Last year I tutored a 15 year old girl in Mathematics to help her with GCSE work. During this time I saw her confidence in carrying out simple calculations rise and this reflected in her grades.
This year I have tutored a GCSE maths student, a year 9 maths student and an AS economics student. Despite exams being cancelled, I saw huge improvements in the approach taken to new questions, and the developments made.
