I have taught over 6000 hours of Maths lessons and I have more than 7 years of experience. I have a first-class degree in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Structural Design. I firmly believe any grade is achievable through hard work. With enough time, all of my students improve in Maths by at least one grade.

My approach to teaching is to make my lessons engaging and to make students think during lessons. Instead of telling students the answer, I give suggestions instead to help them figure out the answer themselves. I try to develop a student`s confidence in maths and their problem-solving skills. I first identify the student`s weaknesses through an assessment and from feedback from the student and their parents. After covering the student`s weaknesses, I then teach important exam techniques to help improve the student`s grade. Techniques such as: preventing mistakes, improving their timing and what they should do when they are unsure about a question. I offer a free 1-hour trial lesson to experience my tutoring style and to discuss a plan on how to achieve the student`s targets.

I tutor only online. This is because there are more benefits for both the student and tutor:

1 - With online tuition, the lesson whiteboard and lesson audio are recorded. The student can re-watch the recording if they forget about anything from the lesson. This cannot be done with face to face tuition.

2 - It allows students to choose from a wider selection of tutors instead of just tutors close to their geographical location.

3 - There is an interactive whiteboard that both the student and tutor can write on. Questions on any topic can be uploaded into the classroom in a matter of seconds.

4 - There is no time wasted due to traveling by the student or tutor. This also allows the tutor to help more students.

5 - It is easy to use. Joining the online classroom is as simple as logging into the website and clicking join the classroom. Depending on the student`s preference, lessons can be carried out with just audio or with audio and webcam.
