Information about Charith

My name is Charith and I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University College London. I previously tutored for a year following my graduation from the University of Oxford, and am also teaching and supervising Masters level students. I am looking to tutor in Maths and Biology. I also have experience in Oxford and Cambridge interview preparation for life sciences courses.

Along with my PhD and Masters degrees, I achieved my A-levels and GCSEs to a high standard.

A-levels (2014):
Chemistry - A*
Biology - A*
Mathematics - A*
German (AS) - A

GCSEs (2012): 10 A*s

Please do contact me for further information.

Availability: I do my main research job from 9-5 on weekdays, so would prefer to tutor in evenings. Face to face tutoring will have to be in the evenings and on weekends. However, my online tutoring schedule is much more flexible.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I tutored for a year after graduating, with a range of clients. I have tutored A-level biology students, as well as those sitting GCSE foundation Maths exams, as well as English (as a second language) therefore I can adapt to the different levels and needs of my students, and use a variety of teaching methods.
During my time at Oxford, I often helped the younger year groups with their work by running academic tutorial-style sessions to cover various topics. I was also a member of the Welfare team, where it is important to have empathetic and key communication skills.
As a student in college/high-school, I volunteered as a language and grammar coach for students with English as a second language. I also worked weekly with special needs children at my school to encourage communication.
