Information about William
Having recently graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, I know how positively the study of Mathematics has affected me not only as an academic but as an individual, using Mathematics as a tool to progress in life. At the same time I understand that learning Mathematics and other STEM subjects does not come naturally to many others which is why I feel it is
vital for me to offer services of encouragement and help to those who struggle or are aiming to better their understanding. My strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as my strength in numeracy, are displayed in the attaining of my Second Class Upper Division honours in Mathematics and Physics. I follow a methodical approach and
have a keen eye for detail and look forward to passing on my passion for maths and science to many students.
Availability: I am available to tutor on weekdays throughout the day and in the evenings.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: In my second year at university I studied `Introduction to Secondary School Teaching in which I spent an extended amount of time in the role of a teaching assistant at Solihull College in Birmingham. In this position I was responsible for not only making sure students were focusing during the lesson, but I also had to lead certain
parts of a lesson and provide a presentation to the students on the
advantages of progressing and studying at an undergraduate level.
