I am an experienced, fully qualified English teacher who is also a Lead Practitioner( expert teacher ). I currently work at an `outstanding` school in Birmingham and specialise in key stage 4. I work with tutees focusing on key skills and exam techniques and am able to quickly identify gaps in their learning. I have in depth and extensive knowledge of the exam board AQA as I have been an examiner and Team Leader for three years. As a result, I am able to fully understand what the demands of the English exams are and how to achieve the best possible results. I tutor in my own home as I have a large, comfortable office with an abundance of resources to aid the students learning. Whether you are worried about your child achieving a pass, or want your child to achieve the higher grades and need help challenging them, I can help with a strategic and personalised plan. I consistently model responses and give the tutees targeted tasks to refine their skills, embed their knowledge and ultimately drive their learning forward.
Availability: Please note I do not have anymore availability in term time as I am at capacity. I can however offer sessions during school breaks. I am flexible during these periods and can offer as many 1/2 hour sessions as you require. Please note that the exams are mainly skills based so regular sessions spread out weekly are no more beneficial than an intense course of tutoring to prepare for the exams in the not too distant future.
Willing to travel: Home Only

Sam has been a fantastic tutor - to say the least!
She alone has helped me progress in my GCSE English language from a D to an A. Her experience has been proven to be invaluable during our sessions. She has given me countless tips to help me tackle my exams to get those top marks in each question. She has explained concepts I thought are impossible for me to comprehend.
I don`t think I would`ve progressed so much without her help.
