I have just completed my A-levels, and after confirmation of my predicted grades in August (A*, A*, A* & A), I will be attending the University of Bath from September to study Computer Science. Throughout my education, Maths has been my strongest subject, as I enjoy and am extremely competent at problem solving.
By nature, I am relaxed and friendly and I believe this style of teaching helps to put students at ease. Without doubt, this is the best mindset for learning, and I actively encourage questions throughout my lessons to deliver a supportive and positive experience. Having just completed my A-levels, I have the most up to date knowledge on exam techniques, plus what exam boards are looking for, and this enables me to provide the most relevant information in my lessons.

Experience: I have tutored three students in the past year, covering GCSE Maths, A-level Maths and A-level Further Maths. I have adapted my lessons to the ability and aim of the student - from simply increasing overall confidence in maths, through to a student aiming for top grades. References are available on request.
My mathematical knowledge is extremely strong and that, together with my capacity to communicate well and adapt my tutoring style to different levels of ability, means that I can teach at a pace to suit the student for maximum learning and understanding. This enables every student to improve their confidence and achieve their desired grades in a relatively short space of time.
Studying Further Maths at A-level has given me an in-depth understanding of all mathematical principles which has improved my ability to tutor – with my comprehensive knowledge, I am able to communicate information clearly and effectively. I can break down and explain concepts in a variety of ways to ensure that a student gains a confident and clear grasp of each topic.
For me, a complete and thorough understanding of each topic is the key to success. In my lessons, I explain the content in sufficient detail, so students understand why things are true, which aids in recalling the information in exams. At school, I was a Maths and Physics Prefect, where my role was to support younger students with their GCSEs, to increase their confidence or offer specific help with a topic.
