Hi there,

My name is Tim, I am a native German speaker and I teach German and English for 10 years. Currently, I tutor students in small groups and in one-to-one settings. I like communicative and learner-centred approaches and I encourage students to actively recall and practice the target language as much as possible during the lesson. I combine introduction of grammar concepts and immersion in "real life" situations, where the concepts are applied, e.g. by learning to introduce yourself to your new neighbour, ordering a coffee or discussing the latest `Stephen King`.

However, I studied linguistics and English literature, and I would be more than happy to tailor the lessons to a more academic and more detail-oriented style - especially with reference to GCSE and A-Levels preparation.

- worked in language school in central London
- offers formal examination preparation
- offers preparation for citizenship tests and moving countries

- worked with autistic, ADHD and dyslexic students (1 on 1 and in a group setting)
- experience as a HCSW in UK mental health and NHS psychiatric hospitals (both children and adults)
- Children Safeguarding training for mental health and education professionals
- valid extended DBS check available

- BA and MA degree in Education, English and Philosophy
