I am a passionate and committed English teacher, with 10 years of tutoring experience. I am very patient, and I think this is a must for any tutor. I am firm but fair, and I have high expectations for each of my students. My aim is always to get students to understand the things that used to confuse them, to master skills they have previously struggled with, and to aim higher than they ever thought possible.

Experience: I have been teaching English (Language and Literature) for almost 15 years, from Key Stage 3 up to A level. I currently teach English Literature and Language GCSE, and I also teach the Lang-Lit and Language courses at A level. I have also marked the GCSE English Language paper for WJEC for the last two years.

I have worked with students who are struggling to reach the all-important C, and I have worked with students who have been pushing to get full marks. I have worked with students who have Additional Learning Needs, such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and OCD, etc. I have also worked with EAL students, helping to improve their basic English skills.

In addition, I co-ordinate the Skills Challenge Certificate, and am available to support learners with their Individual Projects at National and Advanced level.
