Information about Sam

My name is Sam, and I am an A* student with a burning passion for languages - particularly Latin and French.

I achieved 100% in both my Latin A Level and in my French A Level (reading, writing and listening), yet this passion is not only demonstrated by my exam results. From winning a French Essay Prize on `negritude` to working abroad in a Swiss museum, I have gained a depth of linguistic expertise that constantly informs my tutoring.

Having recently experienced the tumult of GCSEs and A Levels myself, I can easily relate to the challenges that my students may face, and am armed with up-to-date knowledge (be it in exam technique, or in language learning) to rectify them. I take my role seriously, and adapt my teaching style to fulfil your specific objectives.

An easy-going and approachable - yet determined and dependable - tutor, I look forward to hearing from new students regardless of their age or ability.

Availability: Weekdays 9am-9pm
Weekends 9am-7pm

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: With 10 A*s at GCSE and A*A*A at A Level (in Latin, French, and History respectively), I have a strong academic record that you can trust. Having previously taught Latin, French, English and Maths to younger students, I have had plenty of experience with tutoring; this is supplemented by my TEFL qualification, completed with Distinction. As Chair of my school`s Modern Languages Society, I organised weekly lectures and lesson plans, and have learnt to be patient and flexible - especially when under time constraints.

Highly enthusiastic about my subjects of interest, I am dedicated to the individual progression of every student and am fully equipped to engage with any areas of difficulty that they may encounter.
