Stephen

Stephen has a II-1 Honours Degree in Chemistry from Oxford. He has taught Chemistry for 25 years and was Head of Science in a Rugby Group school.

He is best teaching the more and most able. At A level, he is best placed with pupils targeting A*-B grades (AQA and OCR) and at GCSE those stretching themselves in the Level 7-9 range (AQA). In addition to the new A level course, he has taught the current IB HL Chemistry course, managing the Chemistry Individual Investigations along with an Extended Essay, and is gifted helping pupils in the 5-7 range. He prepares pupils for an Oxbridge application, for a scholarship to an Independent school and for the 11+. At Common entrance, he can help those finding it hard to reach 60%. Stephen could teach pupils who fall outside this age and ability range but doesn`t because he knows that such people could be better served by another Tutor: he will only help where he knows he will make a difference.
