I am a firm but friendly teacher who is committed to securing the progress of every child that I work with. I absolutely love utilising my skills to teach children in the one on one situations that tutoring brings, and I am dedicated to what I do.

When tutoring, I resource each lesson and bring my own materials including any texts that might be needed.To begin with I focus the first few sessions exploring your child’s areas of strength and development. As always, I value any input from parents on their child’s capabilities and use this to build up a picture of what to focus on. Each taught unit of work is then rounded off with an assessment so that parents/ carers can gain a full picture of the progress being made.

I’m very flexible and work in partnership with the parents and child to deliver a tailored service that is purposeful and beneficial. I strive to promote progress, confidence and a love for learning. I can deliver sessions lasting 1hr or 1.5hrs, and provide homework to be completed inbetween sessions.

Availability: Half terms and summer holidays only. Please ask for specific times.

Experience: I am a primary teacher with 8 years of experience teaching in KS1. During this time I have worked with a range of children with differing needs, as well as from a range of different backgrounds. Stemming from my experience of working with children that have different needs I have become adept at differentiating work to meet the developing needs of both high and low ability children.
