Information about Aya
I`m Aya, and I am a third year Biology undergraduate at Imperial College of London. Throughout high school, I have successfully balanced sports at a high level and high academic scores. My Japanese origins and multilingual education, as well as my upbringing in Geneva makes me a confident trilingual in Japanese, French and English. I am thus more than happy to teach in French and Japanese! Aside from Biology, my Bilingual International Baccalaureate on which I scored 41 included higher level Chemistry and History, standard level French A, English A, and Mathematics.
I believe young people should have fun. Two ways in which I believe how tutoring can help a student is as follows:
1. Learning to enjoy studying. I hope that through my enthusiasm for the subject and my passion for teaching, tutees can learn to see the exciting sides of academia that they may have been blind to.
2. Learning to be efficient. With only a few hours of teaching per week, I believe a tutor`s most important job is to teach tutees how to study. By leaning to be quick and efficient, they will have more time to have fun!
Availability: Weekday afternoon or evenings
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have taught French to a 7 year old for a year, and never failed to help my classmates in improving their scores throughout middle and high school.
