I am a fully qualified Maths teacher with a wealth of experience. I specialise in teaching GCSE Maths Higher and Foundation and helping students to attain high grades. Prior to retirement, my main role was running a GCSE Maths resit programme,thus I have considerable experience of tutoring a diverse range of students who required a maths qualification for their progression. The age group ranged from 15 to adults. On initial lesson, I assess all students to identify areas which require consolidation and provided detailed feedback outlining focused individualised plan.
As instilling confidence is key to success,I have a very focused approach with particular emphasis on exam technique to ensure that students are well prepared for their exams. I have a proven track record of excellent results as my GCSE results have been consistently above the national standards.

Availability: I am available 9- 7pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday

Experience: I have 29 years experience as a Maths Lead in a local FE college. I led on the development of new curriculum/specifications in Mathematics in particular the new GCSE 9 - 1 thus have an excellent working knowledge of GCSE maths syllabus. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
I specialise in coaching students for Band 8/9 focusing in specific challenging questions which are common across all boards.
I can also offer preparation for A Level maths covering underpinning topics which are essential for students transition from GCSE to A Level, particularly in present times due to Covid 19.

Employed as an examiner for AQA GCSE Maths Higher June 2018-June 19 thus I have an excellent working knowledge of mark scheme and exam strategy.
