Information about Salia
I am native and qualified teacher with a PGCE and a QTS. I have been teaching French for 10 years, from primary to secondary school and adults classes. All my experience has allowed me to be very creative in my teaching. Integrating ICT, books, worksheets, power points, videos, and interactive games to ensure a broad variety of teaching methods are implemented. I always ensure that all skills are covered.
I have excellent feedback of students that I have tutoring for GCSE IGCSE and Alevel examinations in order to get a A* with success.
I will provide my students with a medium term planning, and personalise learning experience.
We can discuss your needs, and I will be able to assess your requirements. Whether you are an auditory, visual, or kinaesthetic learner, I will find a strategy that will result in success.
When I teach, I don`t use complicated grammatical explanations that simply confuse people and I don`t ask you to memorise long lists of vocabulary - because my 10 years experience have shown me that this simply does not work. Instead, through 1-to-1 interaction, I show our students how to build up the language, step by step, so that they are actually speaking independently in French.
Availability: Daytime and some evenings.
week-ends (teaching at home).
I can tutor online and will ensure to make it as challenging as possible.
Please note that a basic transport fee will be applied if I come to your place.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I al currently working at the Institut français in London as French Teacher. I worked as a French Teacher in secondary schools, as well as in Adult Education for City Lit at Coven Garden. I have worked part-time at Trinity school in East Finchley. I am a qualified teacher and in my teaching career I was able to cater for the needs of primary secondary and adults students, covering the basic language, from common entrance, GCSE, A-level, IB, to adults. I enjoy teaching all of those levels because it has allowed me to bring lots of creativity and create a wide range of resources that can be adapted to all my students.

Salia is an excellent tutor. My daughter certainly learned a lot with her. She is always on time, is very friendly and has a lovely, humorous manner. I would very happily recommend her as a tutor.
