SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) with a PGCE (Primary) and more than 15 years of experience teaching, mostly in prestigious British private/independent schools including preparatory feeder schools for Harrow School. I hold full enhanced DBS/CRB checks. My qualifications include a BSc with Honours from the LSE, a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) and Trinity Certificate TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I am CRB checked, have a proven track record in boosting my students` attainment, and am available to tutor children from 4 to 12 years of age in English and/or Mathematics. I have successfully prepared students for SATS and for 11+ examinations for entry to independent schools.

I am also available to tutor adults who have English as a second language.

In terms of personal qualities, I am kind, patient, firm when needed, and versatile.

Rate: £30 - £45 per hour dependent on the level of need of the student, extent of preparation/resources required, and on travel costs/time.

My role involves identifying students with special educational needs and liaising with and implementing recommendations of other professionals e.g. Educational psychologists, Speech and language therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Clinical Psychologists (CAMHS), Autism Outreach and Behaviour Outreach. I work closely with other staff, advising them on how best to support children with SEND.
