Poppy

Specialising in Solo and Chamber Music, Poppy performs extensively throughout the UK and Europe. In 2021 she will be the Artist in Residence of the Clifton International Music Festival, where she is looking forward to playing the Mozart Concerto as well as a specially curated series of concerts around the theme of song. In 2020 she was a solo semifinalist for the Royal Over-Seas League Competition. She recently performed the 2nd Arnold Concerto at St Clement Danes, and the Mozart Concerto for the Nailsea Music Society;; She is booked to play the Arnold again in 2021. She also performs regular recitals and duo concerts in London and elsewhere, notably recently at the Marlborough Summer School and St Martin in the Fields, with engagements for solo concerts running through until 2022 (dates are flexible for the immediate future).

As a chamber musician she is a member of several ensembles. With the Oriole Trio (founded in 2016), she has performed at the Barnes Festival, the Clifton International Music Festival, as guest artists for the charity Philosophy in Prison, and in Carmona, Spain, with bookings into 2022. In 2014 Poppy formed the Temple Ensemble, a mixed Chamber Ensemble which expands and contracts according to the chosen repertoire. The group have performed at the Wigmore Hall, Gloucester Cathedral and at the Pastel en Scène and Marcilhac Festivals in France. Each year Poppy organises an eight-concert tour for the group in the South of France. She performs with the Berkshire Chamber Music chamber group;; and also with other less established ensembles.

Poppy is also in much demand as an orchestral musician. She plays regularly as the Principal Clarinet with various orchestras around London including the Barnes Festival Orchestra and the Nonclassical Orchestra;; and she is engaged to play principal for a recording with Peter Breiner for Naxos later this year.
