I am a qualified maths teacher with a PGCE from Oxford University and a first class honours degree in mathematics from the Open University.
I currently tutor 11 plus, GCSE and A-level specialising in the latter.
Having tutored extensively over the last 4 years I am extremely familiar with the examiners criteria for exam boards including Edexcel, OCR, AQA and the International Baccalaureate. I have picked up detailed knowledge on the content of individual topics and can provide comprehensive teaching as well as a thorough understanding on how to best structure an answer.
I am excited about my subject and I fully intend to pass on that enthusiasm to each of my students.
I have a wealth of resources that I have picked up over the years which I can appropriately differentiate to cater for the ability of the student.
I have an excellent track record of results including many achieving the highest possible grade. I am very reliable and tend to stay with my clients for a long period of time. For example I am currently tutoring the children of two families which I have been with for over 3 years.

Experience: I am a fully qualified maths teacher, gaining extensive teaching experience at an all girls grammar school in Kent. I taught classes in all year groups from 7 - 13 and of varied ability ranges. In addition to taught lessons, I have helped GCSE and A-Level students prepare for examinations by running lunchtime revision classes. I also took one-on-one GCSE revision sessions for pupils who had long-term absence records due to health reasons. I am familiar with and have experience teaching the new 9-1 GCSE syllabus.
I have extensive one on one tutoring experience over the past 4 years, particularly at GCSE and A-level. I am currently homeschooling one pupil and teaching her the entire Edexcel A - Level course.
I have also taught Maths abroad in Accra, Ghana and rural Uganda during summer spells with a charity teaching organisation.
