I am aged 65, married for 41 years. We have one son, one daughter and three grandchildren. I have been learning German as a hobby for about 8 years and would say my achievements to date are VERY average!! I have short spells of progress but do have trouble retaining what I take in. So I tend to overuse what I do know but rapidly come unstuck when trying to broaden conversation.

Over the years I have met some very nice German people on holidays who humour me and correct me. All very relaxed and fun but I would like to be able to extend conversations.

I do Duo Lingo most days.

Ideally would like to develop conversational German to a confident albeit modest level.
