I Studied at Batley School of Art, Manchester School of Art and the Royal College of Art - voted the worlds leading art college two years in a row. I graduated with my Masters in 2012.
Alongside teaching I have kept an ongoing and active art practice since graduating from the RCA. I have had the opportunity to exhibit my work in the USA, Mexico, Europe and around the UK and my paintings are held in private collections internationally. I have also shown my experimental animations in a number of exhibitions around the UK.
I began my career studying multimedia where I became passionate about animation and experimental film making. Throughout art college straddled the boundary of design and fine art, making music videos, adverts and experimental video installations. Through my time at the Royal College of Art I have a lot of experience working with artists and designers at a high level and can advise on various pathways for creative ambitions or careers.

Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I am a visiting lecturer specialising in drawing at Kingston University and UCA Farnham and have also worked at the National Film and Television School, the Royal Academy and Goldsmiths University in recent years. My classes are designed to increase students abilities in a fast and engaging way while increasing their confidence in both themselves and their own work.
I teach on one of the most renowned illustration courses in the world at Kingston School of Art, ranked second in the UK for design and crafts in The Guardian University League Tables 2019.
I have taught a variety of different approaches to drawing including life drawing classes, location/reportage drawing for illustrators, drawing for animation, perspective and scale as well as colour theory, colour mixing, collage, painting and print making. My classes are well informed and grounded in an art historical context.
I have a wide ranging experience of techniques drawn from my experiences developing my own artistic practice and I am happy teaching a wide range of levels. I believe everybody has the ability to draw just like we can learn to read and write and seeing people have moments of realisation along the way is very rewarding.
