Information about Helen
I am a qualified and experienced English teacher living and working in South East London. I am currently teaching years 7-13 at a high achieving independent school. I specialise in teaching Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in English Literature, Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in English Language and OCR A Level.
I have successfully supported students in completing UCAS and Oxbridge applications.
I have acted as Key Stage 3 lead which involved creating and distributing engaging and differentiated schemes of work for years 7-9.
Availability: Weekday evenings (from 5pm onwards), weekends and school holidays.

Experience: I have a BA English Literature and Language from the University of Leeds and a PGCE in Secondary Education English from the University of Bristol.
I have been employed as a teacher of English at a high achieving independent school in South East London for the past three years. As part of my role, I have taught across all year groups in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. I have also lead the department at Key Stage 3.
I have taught successfully at GCSE and contributed to the school`s highest ever set of GCSE results last summer.
I have also taught English Literature at A Level to groups of very high achieving pupils.
As part of my PGCE training, I worked at two mixed comprehensive schools in Bristol, teaching mixed-ability classes across all Key Stages.
