I graduated frоm the University оf Cambridge in 2014, and my own academic success will, I hope, indicate what a dedicated individual I am and how passionate I am about my subject. Having completed the first year of study towards my A Levels I moved to Toulouse, France at the age of seventeen. Here I took the International Baccalaureate and graduated from the International School of Toulouse with 41 points, the highest grade in my academic year. I remain the only Oxbridge graduate from this school. Moving abroad I feel I have a unique knowledge of both areas of higher education, experiencing from the inside the demands and specific requirements of both systems of education.

At Cambridge University I was lucky enough to be taught by some wonderful scholars, but it was the supervisors who took a personal interest in me, who recommended authors, articles and poems that they knew I would find fascinating with whom I achieved the highest levels of success. This personal touch, the fact of being treated as an intellectual equal, encouraged me to express myself without inhibition. In my opinion, a lack of confidence is the only thing that truly restricts learning. By teaching my students that their opinions are just as valid, interesting and exciting as my own, I hope to encourage an academic independence that they can take with them in every subject throughout their education.

Leading drama workshops with large groups of Japanese students in Tokyo, and teaching English as a foreign language in Thailand, I am skilled and experienced in bringing a great deal of creativity to my classes. My lessons will focus on making learning meaningful and memorable.
