I am a UK Qualified Teacher of French and English (as foreign languages) and have over 20 years experience as both a Teacher and a Tutor. I am a part-time Teacher of French and English at a local school and I also tutor privately as well as for schools. I hold a 2:1 Hons French and Linguistics Degree, the CELTA qualification and the PGCE.

I LOVE languages and I LOVE teaching and tutoring.

I am enhanced DBS cleared.
I am a member of The Tutors Association.
I tutor in-person and online.

French:
I have examiner experience of AQA GCSE French and have taught to the EDEXCEL specification too. I teach the whole age range (nursery to adult) and have worked with La Jolie Ronde and a range of primary and secondary schools in UK, France and the Middle East.

English (as a foreign language):
I completed my CELTA whilst teaching English in the Middle East. I additionally have experience of teaching English as a foreign language in France and the UK and have taught the entire age range (nursery to adult).

Availability: Daytime / Evening / Weekends
Term-time or School Holidays.

£30/hr (or £15/hr for 30 mins if a young primary child).

My daughter enjoys her lessons and Melanie. She was nervous to start and Melanie was very calming. Definitely recommended x

Melanie was very polite and nice but it took a lesson or two to find a good pattern (to be expected). Sadly, she has had to cease lessons after three sessions as she has taken on additional responsibilities which has made the contact detail purchasing a little pricey.
