Information about Alexander

An experienced maths & physics tutor. A Master`s Degree from Imperial College London and a passion for teaching maths and physics provide the foundation for my successful tutoring of students from GCSE to A Level.

As someone who used private tutoring as a useful aid throughout my studies from GCSE to Master`s Degree, I understand the vast benefit that can be achieved by the extra practice and clear teaching. I have also the learnt that the sooner one subscribes to tuition, the greater the impact and so I encourage you to select a tutor as soon as you are ready.

Please feel free to drop me a message on here at any time for further details.

Availability: Private tutoring is an excellent opportunity to accelerate academic understanding and build a strong foundation during the academic year.

I am available at weekends and some evenings. I am extremely flexible and am keen to provide a reliable service, with extra sessions where possible.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: My background and experience begin with achieving all A*s at A Level in the fields of Maths, Further Maths and Physics. I then achieved high grades in my Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, one of the top universities for Engineering in the UK and globally.

I have tutored 6+ individuals from GCSE to A Level and have seen improvements in all my students. Many of my students have gone from disliking maths to deciding to study economics, maths, physics and engineering at top universities.

In my tutoring, I offer three aspects of training which will see a student`s grades improve;

1. Conceptually - they will improve their understanding/efficiency. This is done through hours of practice and through homework tasks.

2. Wider Picture Understanding - Why is algebra important? The answer is aided by real-world examples which bring the subject to life.

3. Enthusiasm - Maths can seem boring when it is taught with no passion or interest in the subject. I will bring an energy and an enthusiasm for maths which will be felt, and mimicked, by the student.
