Information about Jessica

I am currently fully booked, but should have more availability in September 2020

Hello.

I hold a Masters degree in English literature from Cambridge University and I am currently the Head of English at an independent A level college in Kensington. Additionally, I teach undergraduate seminars at Kings`s College London and tutor students working towards their BA degrees at Cambridge University. I`ve been teaching for nine years, have a detailed understanding of all exam boards. I have worked as an examiner at GCSE, A level and degree level, and specialise in essay structure.

I also have extensive experience working with students who have had trouble with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, family grievances, and those who have Autism or Asperger`s. I strongly believe in creating lessons to suit individual students rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, and I am very sympathetic to those who find school attendance and exam pressure a stressful experience.

I am passionate about teaching, and keen to support students in enjoying learning and showing that English can be a fascinating and life-affirming subject.
