I graduated from the University of Warwick in 2014 with a 2:1 degree in Physics. At University I took an extremely wide range of modules within the Physics and Maths department in order to more fully understand the links between the two subjects. This is extremely useful when helping students understand how the different areas of Physics are connected to other areas in both Physics and Maths.

Between September 2014 and July 2015 I was working towards, and completed, my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the Institute of Education, University College London for which I was awarded a training scholarship by the Institute of Physics. In July 2015 I was awarded Qualified Teacher Status with specialism in Physics with Maths.

Since starting my teacher training I have tutored many students at evenings and weekends. These students were studying A-Level Physics, Maths and Further Maths at both AS and A2 level. I encourage you to have a look at my feedback which I believe accurately reflects my work over the past two years.

I now work full time as a software developer in Croydon but retain an interesting in teaching and tutoring.

I do not offer a first lesson for free, however from my point of view there is never any expectation of commitment to a series of lessons from the student. Generally a first lesson can be just as worthwhile as the fifth of fiftieth.

Availability: It is difficult to make blanket statements about my availability. It is best to enquire directly - I can usually respond within a few hours.

I have a car and happy to travel for which I do not charge.

I am able to tutor clients at my home but I have found this does not produce the best results.

Experience: I have experience in a variety of schools and have taught all key stages, in both Physics and Maths, in both. I have experience in tutoring Physics, Maths and Further Maths for A-Level. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel, OCR and MEI exam boards. I also have experience with tutoring students for the Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT).

I have a particular academic interest in methods of assessment so am well placed to help guide students through the examination process, which so often means students are unable to do themselves justice.
