I am an enthusiastic tutor who loves enabling people to meet their full potential. I specialise in ancient and medieval history, having a BA and MA involving both eras, but also enjoy and teach modern history. Having gone through GCSE and A-level history, I fully understand how the exam and essay assessments function, but also understand that a real education involves more than simply preparing for exams.

I like to create a friendly and conversational atmosphere that helps a student feel more comfortable and confident. It is highly important that a student is active in a lesson, being able to converse and discuss, as well as write and work. Being confident is the best way to fully understand and remember a lesson, and I aim to make students as confident in their own abilities as possible. I fully understand that not every student responds in the same way to the same approach and am fully able and willing to tailor my approach to best support the student.

Availability: I am willing to travel to anywhere to most places in Nottinghamshire and am available anytime during the day or evening. First lesson is at half price.

Experience: I have been a volunteer classroom teacher and teaching assistant in schools for 5 years. During that time I have worked with children of a wide variety of ages, abilities, and backgrounds, as well as SEN children. I find helping people improve their knowledge and skills to be extremely rewarding.
