Information about Lindsay
Hi, I am a friendly, experienced and reliable tutor for philosophy, law, and other subjects. I graduated with a First Class MA (Hons) degree in philosophy from the University of Glasgow in 2012, and was awarded the Caird Prize in my final year for excellence in moral philosophy. After graduating I worked as an English teacher in Hong Kong, where I was responsible for planning lessons and delivering classes to students of a broad range of age groups. I returned to Glasgow to study law and graduated with my second degree this summer. I am now working towards qualifying as a solicitor.
Availability: Evenings and weekends, or school holidays.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have spent time working as an English class teacher in Hong Kong, where I was responsible for planning lessons and delivering classes to students of a broad range of age groups. I now focus on tutoring students individually and teach at all levels from primary to Advanced Higher.
I have tutored philosophy at Higher level, and can assist with essay plans, exam technique, and any specific difficulties with the course content. I know the syllabus well and have assisted with Hume, Descartes, Kant, Utilitarianism, and the Arguments in Action section. I am always pleased to have the opportunity to share my enthusiasm with students.
I also tutor law up to degree level.
