Information about Joe

I`m a motivated and hardworking individual with a passion for education, educating others and learning. I`m on a gap year between school and university in which I`m working in education.

At school and sixth form, I was seen as a very hardworking student who was dedicated to my studies. I am now applying to my my hardwork to working as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school and tutoring. I`m really enjoying these jobs as I find it satisfying to support others on their educational journey and support them when they lack motivation, confidence and ability. I also enjoy reading about education and plan to study education studies and sociology at university.

Availability: Weekdays from 4pm and various times on Saturdays and Sundays.

Experience: I`m currently working in a Secondary School in South West London as a Learning Support Assistant supporting pupils in their core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science). The main part of my role is attending classes to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as well as any other students who may need support. Through this job, I`ve developed strategies effectively work with pupils aged 11-16 and enhance their academic ability.

Before this, during my time at sixth form, I spent Wednesday afternoons volunteering in mathematics classes supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as well as tutoring pupils after school. This has given me the skills and confidence to embark on my current jobs supporting pupils with their studies.
