Online Tutoring - GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics /
A level Biology/ GCSE and A level Geography.

Science Tutoring:
I have been a Head of Science and Head of Biology at an Ofsted Outstanding School in Bath for the last 11 years. Following my maternity leave I have returned to teaching part-time and am now taking on more evening tutoring. I have 15 years teaching experience of A Level Biology, GCSE combined science and separate GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
I am a fully qualified and very experienced Biology and Science Teacher. I am friendly, conscientious and a very well regarded teacher.
One of my lessons featured as an example of outstanding practice in our most recent ofsted report. I quickly build a good rapport with students and can easily break down more difficult concepts for students to understand.
I have vast experience of teaching AQA A Level Biology and AQA combined and triple sciences. I also have experience of BMAT and UKCAT tutoring for students applying to med and vet schools, with much success of entry to oxbridge, med and vet courses.
I have previously chaired the Bathnes Heads of Science meetings and mentored Heads of Science in other local schools, mentored numerous trainee science teachers and tutored many students. I am well skilled in teaching students from all ability ranges.
I have taught the new AQA specifications at both A Level and GCSE and have a variety of up to date resources to support learning.
Geography Tutoring:
I am married to a very experienced Geography Teacher (Head of Geography and Senior Lecturer in Geography Education at University of West of England and Ph.D in Geography) who also tutors Geography at GCSE, AS and A level. Please contact me for further information.
We have a 6 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. We live in Bathford, just outside Bath.

Excellent tutor for my daughter who is retaking her biology A level June 2023. My daughter is extremely happy with the content of her tutor sessions and detailed advice and feedback provided. Proof in pudding when we get her result in August! Would highly recommend. Tutor Hunt site is good but would be useful to have a quick and easy way to inform people that a tutor has been found.

Annabelle, was a fantastic tutor for our son during his A levels. With the pressure on to get 3 As for University, Annabelle provided our son with quality tuition, always asking what areas he would like to explore each week and providing regular opportunities to practice exam questions. Annabelle really knows her subject and her students and really wants them to do well. She truly helped our son grow in confidence. Not only did his knowledge and understanding of the subject increase, but Annabelle also helped him him to improve his exam technique. Sadly, a pandemic got in the way of the A Levels this year and stole our opportunity to continue these weekly sessions and to sit the actual exams. Our advice would be don`t hesitate to contact Annabelle for biology tuition. She is highly professional, very flexible, well prepared and she loves her subject. She is a great teacher who will always bring out the best in any student. We can`t thank her enough for all the support she gave.

Annabelle guided our daughter through her GCSE Chemistry and Biology and today she achieved 9s in both. Annabelle is an excellent tutor, putting real commitment and energy into her teaching which includes past paper practice. Thank you Annabelle, Ella can’t wait to start A level learning with you too.

Annabelle is such a fabulous tutor! She really helped me to work on exam technique which boosted my marks in exams. She also gave me so much more confidence in my ability to do well in my exams, I went from a D in my Biology mock to an A in my final results. All the tutoring sessions where tailored to exactly what I needed to work on and the way Annabelle taught me really helped me to understand ideas or processes I found particularly difficult.
