I am a qualified and experienced History and English teacher and tutor, and can help with History, English Language and English Literature, and I can also help with general study skills and exam technique. The tutoring is specified to you, during our first meeting you tell me what it is you require and I will also assess your academic needs in the subject. We can then create the tutoring programme just for you.

Availability: I`m available all week and I am able to travel to you within the Newcastle area or further afield, and can be flexible to your schedule.

Experience: I studied History at Aberystwyth University before moving to South Africa where I qualified as a History teacher at the University of Cape Town and was then offered a job as History and English teacher as a result of my teaching practice placement at Abbotts College.
During my studies and while teaching in Cape Town I volunteered as a tutor for English language and any subject that was required with the charity Ikamva Youth and developed into working with youth groups promoting life skills through outdoor education.
Since returning to the UK I qualified as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) with the Trinity Certificate, and have now work with young people with development programmes in outdoor education including surfing, mountain leading, paddle sports, bushcraft and campcraft. I have been working as a tutor for over a year and I also work freelance teaching study skills and memory techniques in schools.
