Helping students help themselves!
Ever since my childhood, I have detected in myself a certain compassion, and innate desire to help others, to guide others and to lead others. Thus, I started my professional life as a tutor while studying for my Bsc Accounting and Finance from LSE and joined an elementary school after I graduated.
I believe that learning never stops, even after college graduation. It continues in the work environment in the daily schedule, at home, with friends, and so on. No matter how young or old, people of all ages should be encouraged to continue to learn and grow throughout their lives.
I think my main purpose of becoming a teacher is to greatly improve the lives around me, and to inspire the students reach new heights, and go beyond their preconceived limitations.

During my career, I have taught English and Maths to years 3, 4 and 5. In addition to that, I gained a TEFL qualification recently to be able to properly teach English to ESL students as well.
In my opinion, there is a huge difference between what a student gets out of a classroom and how a students benefits from one-to-one tutoring sessions. A school teacher has to cater his lesson to a group of students, from many different backgrounds, learning styles and interests. While school teachers do phenomenally well at one of the toughest jobs, a student that receives one-on-one tutoring, catered to their needs, makes leaps and bounds academically.
