Information about Jennifer
I am a second year music student at the University of Sussex, specialising in violin performance. I am happy to teach elements of music theory along side the violin to aid understanding.
Availability: Monday - afternoon, Wednesday to Friday - afternoon, Sunday - all day
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have been playing the violin since the age of 6. I achieved Grade 8 with distinction in April 2015. During 2011, I achieved my Grade 5 music theory, essential to understand music at a higher level and to continue up the grade ladder. I have had 3 years of teaching experience - some of students I had taken over from another tutor, others starting from scratch. I have plenty of orchestral experience, playing in large venues both in the UK and in Europe, such as the Royal Albert Hall, Brighton Dome and the Slovak Radio Hall. I am fluent in reading treble, bass and alto clef developed through playing the viola, piano, double bass, to grade 6 standard, as well as the cello.
