Hi! I am a Final year medical student at UCL this year who is looking to tutor 1-2 students, with the aim of helping them to achieve their potential.

My tutoring sessions are thorough, yet relaxed and individually prepared for each student, ensuring that the content is tailored to their strengths and weaknesses. I endeavour to make a good rapport with each student I tutor as I believe that true learning success goes beyond academia and beyond the weekly session(s); motivation is a key factor so I always try to build the students` confidence and interest within the subject as much as possible.

I always include questions (from numerous sources including past papers) to ensure they have understood the session’s content and will always give extra material for students to go over in their own time should they wish to.

I am keen to share my experience and knowledge to help students navigate through their syllabus and content with ease whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills to excel in their exams.

Availability: I am available most evenings and most weekends.

Experience: I have been tutoring GCSE maths and sciences over the past five years - I understand what content students need to know, what common mistakes are made within the subject, as well as the necessary exam skills to translate their knowledge&hard-work into good grades. My previous students have always improved by 2-3 grades by the end of the year!

Alongside my tutoring experience, I have had numerous roles involving work with young people. These roles include: a youth play worker and reading assistant for very young children (primary school level) as well as being an NCS mentor and teaching assistant, delivering sessions to 16 -18 year olds. I have also worked with the Special Education Needs team in my old Sixthform and have previously tutored students with learning difficulties. Overall, all of my experiences has developed my ability to create engaging material that maximises the efficacy of the session for all ages.
