Hi, my name is Mathew and I am a graduate from the University of Southampton with a 1st Class Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and several months of tutoring experience. I know this is a difficult time for students and I’d love to be to work with you on achieving your goals.

Many people can find Maths and Science challenging, confusing or simply not interesting. In my experience, I have found it crucial for my students to understand the underlying concepts behind every problem and how they are reflected in the real world. This makes it easier to build up a versatile skillset which will give you confidence in tackling any exam problem, as well as building problem-solving skills. My approach is much more reliable in guaranteeing higher marks than cramming information and rules (and importantly is more enjoyable for students!) I put a great focus on my individual students and how I can make the subject more accessible to them because I know this is the best way of improving their confidence and ultimately their exam performance.

When I am not working I enjoy playing football, listening to and creating music and the performing arts.
