Geoffrey

My qualifications include an MSc in Medicinal Chemistry (Distinction) and a BSc (Hons) in the Natural Sciences (2.1). My main interests include neurodegenerative disease - I have written two postgraduate dissertations on the pathology of Parkinson`s Disease and potential drug therapies. I am also interested in infectious disease - my third year Bachelors dissertation covered multiple and extreme drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis.

I have a particular interest in teaching the chronically ill who may be unable to attend mainstream education, with an understanding of the challenges faced due to personal experience.

I am a member of several conservation charities due to a love of nature and the countryside and enjoy baking bread and learning Swedish and German in my spare time.

I am an Associate Member of The Royal Society of Biology and an Affiliate member of both the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Association for Science Education.

I am available to tutor Biology and Chemistry to A level and Chemistry, Biology and History to GCSE level.

Availability: Weekday afternoons or evenings.
