Information about Johanna

Do you want to learn French from scratch, improve your existing skills or simply practice conversation?

I am Johanna, a 31 year-old French tutor originally from Paris. I have a degree in Arts and Literature from France, and years of experience teaching and leading activities in French for both children and adults across London and online. I have a real passion for languages, and for transmitting my knowledge of French to others in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

I currently teach online, which is the preferred method among all my students, but I can also do lessons in person within a 2-mile radius from my home.

I am willing to help anyone looking for French tutoring, regardless of their age or level. I adapt my lessons to each person`s individual needs, goals and ways of learning, making sure all aspects of the language are covered while giving you keys to being able to speak from the very beginning. My way of teaching is organised and tailored to make understanding and learning fluid for each individual student.

I met Johanna through TutorHunt in 2018 and since then, she has been teaching me French. She is knowledgeable, organised, prepares her classes in advance and it`s open to adapting her way of teaching to what best suits you. I started having classes of 1h a week but after, I increased it to 1.5h and I can really tell the difference; there is much more time to talk and practice speaking (I was totally a beginner with no knowledge of French at all). After 4 years, Johanna is not only my tutor but also my friend and I can`t wait to see how many more years we will be speaking French together :)

Johanna is a great tutor! She makes the lessons fun with games but also ensures that I repeat and really learn the fundamentals in French. I highly recommend her for her positive and fun approach, whilst still being sure that you are learning through every lesson and homework assignment.
