Based in York, I am an experienced teacher and graduate in English of the University of Cambridge (BA) and the University of York (MA, Distinction).

Availability: Afternoons, evenings and weekends

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have worked as a private tutor in York since 2016 and consistently receive excellent feedback from students and parents. I teach both young people and adults, focusing on English including GCSE language and literature, 11-plus exams, English as a Second Language, exam skills and essay writing.

In addition to tutoring, I regularly teach at the University of York`s Centre for Lifelong Learning. My experience further includes teaching English in schools in Europe, one-to-one online mentoring, and leading creative writing workshops for young people and adults in a variety of settings.

My lessons are carefully prepared according to the needs of the individual student. I aim to share my passion for English language and literature, and to foster enjoyment for the subject while focusing on exam success.
