I am flexible with the specification that is required to be taught and am willing to acquire and read any necessary texts which will aid in the tutoring of a student.
Study of the English Language and the ways in which it is applied to Literature has formed a significant part of who I am. I have a passion for creative writing, having now written six novels and seeking publication, and I enjoy reading. My love for English has been proven in my own academic abilities as I acquired A*s at GCSE in both English Language and English Literature, an A in A-Level English Language and Literature, a 2:1 Degree in English with Creative Writing and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Keele University. I am currently applying for a PhD in Creative Writing.
Availability: I am flexible with my availability and am willing to adapt to a student`s availability following a consultation by phone. I am willing to work on any day so should be able to find a time that is suitable.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: While in secondary education, I tutored children from lower years who struggled with English- in particular helping those with below average reading abilities find a passion for literature. As part of a Creative Writing Club, I also helped shape the work of fellow writers among my peers.
I have experience tutoring family members at Key Stage Two, GCSE and A-Level and thus have experienced the academic requirements of most levels of study.
