Information about Richard
I am a teacher and author of A-level Computing and ICT, as well as an examiner for one of the major examination boards. I have been a head of an ICT/Computing Department, and I now write revision guides for GCSE, AS ans A2 Computing.
I have eleven years teaching experience in FE and sixth-form colleges, with experience in AS and A2 Computing and ICT, OCR Nationals, BTEC Nationals, BTEC Higher Nationals and GCSEs. Specialisms include programming (VB.Net, VBA, Java, C#), web development (HTML, CSS, Javascri pt) and Microsoft Office applications, in which area I am certified by Microsoft.
My approach is dictated by your requirements. I can coach to pass a specific subject or unit (coursework or examination), with tailored guidance based on the examination board involved, or I can help you to develop the academic and problem solving skills needed to enable you to tackle units with confidence and independence.
Availability: Most evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Although early days, my daughter’s tutoring experience with Richard has been positive. He is reliable, punctual and professional with a thorough understanding of the Computer Science A level syllabus. Any problems she currently has in understanding her course content are being addressed, allowing her to improve and build on her knowledge, hopefully increasing her ability to achieve a good result in her exam.

Richard is always well prepared for the lesson and really knows his subject. We have only had a few lessons so far but my son is already gaining in confidence and values the tutoring he is receiving. There’s no doubt the Richard will help my son to gain a higher grade.

Richard is supporting my son with A level computing and really is a superb computer sciences teacher. My son enjoys the sessions, Richard is patient, identifies the weak areas and gaps in my sons education and supports to ensure an enriched understanding. Would highly recommend.
