Experience: I am an inspiring and friendly fully qualified teacher (QTS). In the 2022 GCSE exams, my English and History private students all achieved 9s and 8s (A** and A*).

I was awarded my Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary History (Distinction) from Manchester Metropolitan University. I also have a Masters from the University of Cambridge and ten years of teaching experience.

I have taught English and History at grammar, comprehensive and private schools in the UK where I have held various roles including Head of Key Stage 3 History, Head of Debating and lead teacher of the OCR A-Level Russia 1855-1964 module.

I also have extensive experience preparing pupils for SATs and the 11+ exam at leading schools such as Bexley Grammar School (CEM) and King`s School, Chester (independent).

I am qualified TEFL/CELTA teacher and have experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language to students from all over the world.

Each one of my lessons is tailored to the student. To ensure students achieve their full potential, I teach exam techniques and effective time management skills, as well as marking practice exam papers, setting regular homework and asking concept-checking questions throughout the lessons, whilst sharing my passion for English and History.
