Homework trouble? Preparing for an exam? I can help your child master the subject. I am a science teacher and mum to two young boys. I have a 2:1 (hons) in Biological Science and PGCE in Secondary Science. I spent 6 years working in the Pharmaceutical industry before changing career so I have experience relating science to the real world. I love teaching young people and I think it is important to build positive relationships with the students I tutor by promoting their self esteem and encouraging them to try their best. I use current pedagogy in my tutoring and ensure each child receives high quality teaching and learning to enable them to succeed.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings from 4pm to 8pm. Saturday mornings 9 - 12pm. I can visit your home or teach online. I also tutor small groups.

Experience: I have over 16 years experience teaching KS3 General Science, KS4 Combined Science and GCSE Biology. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications and I am an Examiner so can help with revising for GCSE Science and can give tips on how to answer exam questions. Your child will receive friendly one to one support tailored to their needs which includes; demonstrations, practical activities and application questions. I have taught children with a range of abilities and can differentiate tasks appropriately.
