Information about Nadine

Nadine is a Professional Violinist based in London, currently in demand as a versatile performer and educator in a diverse range of settings. Classically trained but influenced by an eclectic range of music such as Jazz, World & Folk, Nadine`s sound has a unique musical signature.
Over the years Nadine has played with various professional orchestras and ensembles (as a performing/session musician), such as London Contemporary Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, English Touring Opera & RTE Symphony Orchestra. This has taken her to iconic venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, The Southbank Centre & The Barbican and to record at legendary studios such as Abbey Road & Air Studios.
Nadine made her 1st performance at Montreux Jazz Festival aged 19 and since then has collaborated with the likes of Islands Records/Chineke! Orchestra on `Legend` by Bob Marley (35th Anniversary Vinyl), Emma Hatton on her no.1 iTunes Jazz album `Thirty Three and a Third`, Elise Yuill at Glastonbury Festival and, Moor Mother/London Contemporary Orchestra at Unsound Festival (Krakow). She has performed and recorded with The Sex Pistols, Elton John, The Cure, Lanterns on the Lake and Wildflowers, among others.
Nadine`s desire to create her own music and original sound, led to the formation of `Naereus`, a contemporary Quintet that explore the spaces between Classical, Jazz and World Music through compositions and improvisations.
Nadine graduated from The Royal Academy of Music in 2010 with a BMus(hon) & an LRAM teaching diploma, before going on to gain a Masters in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2013. As an educator, Nadine won The Open Academy Fellowship at The Royal Academy of Music and has since then led projects for organisations such as The Southbank Centre, The Academy of Ancient Music and Southbank Sinfonia.

Experience: I have over 10 years experience in delivering high quality, unique Violin lessons and Music education to 100`s of people in a variety of settings. I believe that anyone can and should have access to a good musical education and I can teach all ages and abilities, from beginner to degree level, including those with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities.
My main goal is for all of my students to enjoy their lessons. Being a flexible and sensitive teacher, I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs, goals and pace of learning. However I do also have a 100 % pass rate for ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall exams, and many of my younger students have gone on to further their education at Junior and Senior Music Conservatoires in the UK.
My training began at The Royal Academy of Music, where I completed my BMus (hon) in Violin performance, LRAM teaching diploma & won the `Open Academy Fellowship` for Music Education. Here I taught at `First String Experience` shadowing the director, Philippa Bunting, and gaining training in Suzuki, Kodaly & Dalcroze methods.
I have gone on to gain positions as Violin/Viola teacher at Pro Corda, London Music Masters, Highgate School, Lewisham Music and Brighton & Hove Music and Arts. I have also held the position of Chamber Music/Ensemble coach at some of these organisations.
Since completing my Masters degree in Violin Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2013, I have also worked in many workshop settings with participants from ages 4-80+. Organisations worked for include: The BBC, The Southbank Centre, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, The BFI & Great Ormond Street Hospital.
As a result of working with such a diverse range of people, I have developed my own teaching style which is vibrant, inclusive, tailored to the individual & holistically focused on all of the elements of being a musician.
