Hello everyone, my name is Srimila and I have been tutoring children of family and friends part time for over 8 years. I find tutoring young children extremely rewarding and having a young son of my own encouraged me to recently qualify and gain an International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy Early Childhood. I feel that being armed with the knowledge of how a child’s mind works has given me an even stronger platform from which to take up tutoring professionally.

I am a very friendly person and am able to put across my points very clearly to both adults and children alike. My Montessori back ground means I strongly believe that a friendly approach encourages children to enjoy learning rather than feeling that they are doing it because it has to be done. This approach will ensure a much more confident child who understands their work thoroughly, and wishes to correct mistakes themselves. I feel it is this attitude that has made parents want to leave their child in my care. During my eight years of tutoring, I have helped many children through their school years and have had siblings follow on. Also, I am now qualified to teach young children.

No matter what the age, hard work and a friendly approach are sure to help your child achieve their potential. I provide lessons in English and Maths on a one to one basis. I am also happy to help with school homework on any subject. A good parent-tutor relationship is essential in ensuring the child feels comfortable and gets the most out of the experience. From that point of view, I provide good feedback on a regular basis and parents have found this very helpful.
