Information about Zarina
I have taught science in secondary schools for 12 years and am now a full time tutor. I graduated from UCL with a 2:1 in Geology and after working for a year in the outdoor activities industry I did my teacher training at Cambridge.
For every hour I spend tutoring I usually spend an hour preparing resources as I enjoy preparing resources that enable my students to easily grasp scientific concepts.
I am enthusiastic about science but also patient and encouraging.
Availability: Mon - Friday 9am - 4pm
I prefer to meet students and parents together initially to discuss their requirements and look at their exercise books and test papers and find out their exam board and syllabus. This is why the first session is free.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have taught all ability levels from year 7 to A level. I teach national curriculum science to years 7-9, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and A level physics. I work with a range of students:
-students that are aiming for A* grades and need extra help in exam technique and greater depth of subject knowledge
-students that are underachieving because of their teacher is absent a lot or the classroom behaviour is poor.
-students that suffer from stress or panic in exams.
I work with all exam boards and have taught both GCSE and iGCSE. I am most familiar with the Edexcel A level but can teach to all specifications.
