Qualified Mathematics Teacher. Awarded a Teaching Scholarship by the Institute of Mathematics (IoM) and graduated with my PGCE from Kings College London. I am currently a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at Gunnersbury Catholic School in Brentford, London, teaching classes across all key-stages (including A-Level).

Given my teaching profession, I am challenged on a daily basis in meeting the learning requirements of students of all abilities and levels. As such I have developed a strong set of skills and resources through which I am able to tailor both the learning experience and tutoring specifically for students.

I take my time to understand my students, their level and learning challenges in order to develop a suitable plan to help them achieve their potential in the taught subject.

In terms of my background prior to teaching, I hold a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Nottingham and have a background in Structural Engineering and Bridge design having worked for a leading engineering design firm. I then made the shift to business and consulting in the technology sector.

I am happy to offer the first hour for free as an introductory session and pilot lesson.

Fortunately I do have a car and am willing to travel a reasonable distance.

Experience: I have now been teaching in both voluntary, tutoring and/or professional roles for almost 10 years.

I spent an entire year teaching Mathematics at Slough Community School to KS3 and GCSE students in classes of 8-15 pupils during the 2013/2014 academic year. This marked the beginning of my interest in teaching.

Since then I have focused on conducting 1 to 1 tutoring sessions, particularly to GCSE and A-Level students in both Mathematics and Physics. I have helped each of my students to excel in the given subject and achieve their target grades (see feedback provided).

As of September 2017, I began my PGCE at Kings College London. Having completed this in June 2018 I now work full time as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at Gunnersbury Catholic School, London, teaching Math across all stages to students with varying ability.
